Not because she supported subsidies to barge companies! Look it up, every Senator D and R that border the Miss River voted for it.

Compared to the idiot Bill Cassidy who now sits in her seat, she was a fighter. Cassidy along with our other deadbeat Sen John Kennedy(drives me crazy that he won't put in his upper dentures when he gets on National TV) voted against allowing Medicare to negotiate drug prices.
Trump's nonsense seems so transparent. It blows me away that there are so many people who lap his lies and deceit up. Cult is the only word for such delusion.

So Franco, It's OK if you use that line of reasoning but if someone else uses that in
support of the candidate they believe to be better for the position, you vilify them.
Does that reek of being a hypocrite? Liberaltarian regards .

UBS perspective on the trade war. https://www.ubs.com/global/en/wealth...spotlight.html
" Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, (red) wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!" Unknown

    You need to be specific.

Which candidates are you talking about? Any candidate that I have vilified probably deserves it.

Love the cover of The New Yorker as it is spot on!

That would be Graham, Barr and McConnell.

Some want to give Trump credit for an improved economy.

The reality is that other than a tax overhaul that is the largest theft of middle class income, the trade war with China is Trump's economy!

China Grows Anti-American, and an Algorithm Says It Won’t Back Down
China had held off criticizing America or publicizing the trade war, but since President Trump piled on new tariffs, China has revved up a propaganda machine that’s fanning anti-American nationalism, Minxin Pei writes in the Nikkei Asian Review.

Which, according to a computer algorithm, is a sign that China won’t back down in the trade war. Researchers at George Mason University and Bates White Economic Consulting have fed China’s state-run newspaper, the People’s Daily, into an algorithm that “reads” it and predicts whether Chinese policy will change. According to the algorithm, “China has not yet shown any signs of backing down on the US demands” on trade, they write in The National Interest.

One thing for certain, China will be buying from them at a higher price than what they were paying before. Only reason they bought from us in the first place is because we were the cheapest.

Out curiosity in the last 100 years, has there been a country that has accelerated its technology, benefited its economy, and had rock solid national security long term by means of fostering an anti-american sentiment directed by its government.
