Default Prayer for My Four Labs - UPDATE - FOUR YEARS LATER!

This is a long overdue update. Many of you may remember that four of my Labs were poisoned in Feb. of 2015. I知 blessed to report that my dogs have suffered no long-term health problems from their ordeal. In fact, Quattro, the oldest of the dogs which were affected, celebrated her 15th birthday on April fourth of this year! Remi has produced a couple of successful litters, and her daughter Ziggy whelped her first litter on June 6th.

I know who put out the poison, but was unable to obtain evidence which would stand up in court. While I would have liked to be compensated for my financial loss and to exact some punishment for their stupidity, I知 more than satisfied with the successful outcome of the treatment.

Thanks to all for your support in trying times!

    Swack

P.S. I知 anxious for the puppy I keep from Ziggy痴 litter to grow enough to be photographed with her mother Ziggy (3), her grandmother Remi (6), her great-grandmother Tess (10), and her great-great-grandmother Quattro (15). That will be one for the archives! Five generations in one picture!

that is excellent news. Some people don't deserve to breathe the same air our dogs do. I lost a golden retriever to intentional poisoning years ago. She was one of the sweetest and gentlest souls who didn't deserve the horrific suffering she went through. We lived in a VERY remote part of Alaska at the time, in a community of less than 75 people.
The way I look at it, every dog is an opportunity to be a better trainer, and every day is a new day to be a better trainer to the same dog we trained yesterday.

How wonderful that they have minimum issues now and that you have been able to continue to enjoy them. 15 is amazing for any lab. So happy things turned out okay for all!

    Swack,
Grand news on ye Labs Mate. There's a special place in hell for the responsible party.

    Jeff,
You are a better man than I am. The person that put out poison for my dog would have had some serious, painful payback coming. Like better sleep with one eye open MFer kinda stuff.
    Glad the dogs are ok.
