    Default Retrievers Beware

    Aye Mates,

A friend of mine just returned from a duck hunting trip in Argentina. He said they do not use retrievers down there to fetch their ducks. Here's why.

Anaconda ~ Over 200 pounds of constrictor that is very much at home in the water.

That snake would get a load of #2's if I happened upon it! Me and snakes...we just don't get along.

I’m just starting to look at a trip to Argentina for a buddy and I, but those things terrify me. May have to do some more research.

I've been to Argentina 4 times for dove and ducks. Never seen a snake, also rarely seen a retriever used. Usually going in our summer/their winter.

What do they use ,to retrieve their shot ducks. By the way is their bag limit. I have received email invitations to download
their promotional material on guided duck hunts in Argentina for our DU fund raiser dinner events. I have always passed on it.

A friend of mine and some friends were doing a walk-around of a pond they planned to train in down in Florida when one of the guys pulled out his pistol and shot several times. My friend called out.... "what did you shoot?" The answer "SNAKE!" rang out across the water. He called out again..."What kind?" The answer came back "DEAD ONE!!!" -Paul
there's no good reason to fatten up a retriever.
