    Default Camel's Back?

I hope these two recent tragedies are not the straw that breaks the Camels back and forces Congress to do something stupid....

Probably not by Congress, but I can see Trump pushing more gun control by executive order. I can also see him throwing the Republicans under the bus again for not pushing gun control measures.

This is a bit of a twist: Perhaps we can blame this one on AOC

While these incidents are tragic there are others more so.

Any major city governed by Democrats will have a death list larger than that in any given month.

Should the death of a LE person be more tragic than that of an ordinary person?

If you are killed by someone without the capacity of reason are you less dead?

What are you thinking they might do?

Bring to the forefront sensible gun legislation? Maybe the Senate (Mitch) will allow a vote on something to do with Guns?

Wouldn't that be incredible, they might actual do some governing!!!! How nice.

I have to say that I haven't ever heard any suggestion that doesn't trample on the 2nd amendment in one way or another. True mass shootings, although horrific, are statistically nearly non-existant. I'm talking about the ones like El Paso or Dayton, where some wacko takes on a bunch of strangers with a semiautomatic weapon shooting anything that moves. Since the FBI calls anything where more than 3? people are shot in one incident, that sweeps up a lot of folks who are pissed at someone specific (often a family member) and either intend to kill several folks or there is collateral damage.

It also seems to me that I have read multiple times that if one drops our suicides and the homicides in a few select cities, the gun death rate in the US is about what it is in most western countries. The day in, day out shooting in some of our cities speaks to some pathology that I suspect is related to living too close to other folks.
