    Default Lewandowski

Boy, I bet the Dems wished they hadn't called on him. Shades of G. Gordon Liddy! After watching several "investigations" by the Dems, where they don't let the subject give full answers and bully the witnesses, I really got a kick out of Lewandowski's deft handling of his inquisitors. His comment that (I'm paraphasing here) since the press has developed a reputation of, shall we say, "coloring" the narrative to suit their agenda, he had "no obligation to be truthful with the press" was priceless. This comment coming just a few days after the discovery of the NYT's disasterously biased handling of the "new" Kavanaugh accusations. Just too funny.

Nothing but another POS stonewalling and lying.

House counsel Barry Berke just busted Lewandowski for_ telling a major lie on national television. Lewandowski claimed no memory of any interaction with Sessions as outlined in the Mueller report(perjury).

Lewandowski stammers something about his memory failing him.

I'll bet the AG/DOJ does nothing with his perjury and contempt. I do expect the House to fine him a substantial amount of $.

He admitted he lied on TV about his and Trump’s actions in the Russia probe: “I have no obligation to be honest with the media.”

Lewandowski was charged with battery for grabbing a reporter during the 2016 campaign and lied about it until a video emerged to support the accusation; authorities called the evidence “legally sufficient” but dropped the charge. Singer Joy Villa, a Trump supporter, filed a sexual assault complaint against Lewandowski in 2017. (Lewandowski maintains his innocence.) He was charged with a misdemeanor in 1999 for bringing a gun into a congressional office building. Last year, he settled a dispute with neighbors accusing him of threatening them with a baseball bat. Under previous questioning by the House Intelligence Committee, Lewandowski said he wouldn’t answer Democrats’ “f---ing” questions.

Democrats Stuck in Watergate Mode, Bungle Lewandowski Testimony

…Democrats chose the former Trump campaign manager for their first hearing after declaring the committee is considering impeaching the president. They apparently thought Lewandowski would elaborate on his extensive testimony to special counsel Robert Mueller and also on his testimony from earlier investigations by other House and Senate committees…

…Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler was visibly frustrated from the start. "'When you refuse to answer these questions, you are obstructing the work of our committee," Nadler said. "You are also proving our point for the American people to see: The president is intent on obstructing our legitimate oversight. You are aiding him in that obstruction." "And I will remind you," Nadler continued, "that Article 3 of the impeachment against President Nixon was based on obstruction of Congress." Perhaps Nadler thought that was a killer argument. But rather than highlight similarities between the Trump-Russia affair and Watergate, Nadler's reference to Richard Nixon served to show the differences — and why Democrats are having so much trouble getting an impeachment effort off the ground.

Article 1 of the impeachment of Nixon began with an underlying crime: that agents of his reelection committee broke into Democratic National Committee headquarters. In Trump-Russia, the underlying crime — the DNC hack — was committed by Russians in Russia without any involvement of the Trump campaign. Article 1 then went on to accuse Nixon and his men of engaging "in a course of conduct or plan designed to delay, impede, and obstruct the investigation of such illegal entry; to cover up, conceal and protect those responsible; and to conceal the existence and scope of other unlawful covert activities."…

Swampy, I doubt any intelligent person believes the sources you use.

The Trump cult might, but they are also OK with dishonesty!

So you are saying you do not see a material difference between the Nixon Impreachment and the ongoing 'snipe' hunt by the House Socialist Democrats, attempting to find something/ anything that they feel is quantifiable as a "High Crimes and Misdemeanors"?

I guess I should not be surprized that you cannot understand thefundamental difference noted in this article!

Specifically, what part of Swamp's post do you doubt? It appears to me that his post primarily deals in simple facts and pretty obvious observations.

and, as I alluded to earlier, of the folks in the Nixon administration, G. Gordon Liddy was my favorite.

Thought he hearing got off to a rough start for the Dems, in the end Lowendowski got nailed for being a liar. He even admitted it. He also committed perjury.

It would be useless for the Dems to charge him with perjury or contempt since that would be handled by AG Barr's DOJ and we know Barr is now leading the obstruction.

    Cary, a bit dishonest here?

CNN or one contributing panelist leaked questions?

    Huge difference.

That panelist was fired by CNN and the DNC.

BTW, that panelist now contributes to Fox News.

You really think she was the only one that knew?? You are kidding. As for who works for who, we do agree at least partially. I will not watch FOX if she is on, nor will I watch MSNBC if Al Sharpton is on nor will I watch CNN if McCabe3 is on. I also think it is a disgrace that any of the tlhree networks have any of the three on.
