    Default Impeachment Inquiry

There is still some debate as to whether a formal Impeachment Inquiry will help to expedite the documents and testimony that the House has been seeking for months.

The overwhelming consensus is that it won't hurt the investigation of sought documents and testimony.

That Trump has admitted to pressuring the Ukrainian President to find some dirt on Hunter Biden even though the Ukrainians have already investigated the matter and found nothing, the fact that Trump was holding up military aid until they came up with something is criminal.

Congress has every Right to see the whistleblowers report. A transcript of one phone conversation is not what they are seeking.

This is not about losing the election in 2016. It is about a sitting President on a least 10 occasions Obstruction justice as well as seeking foreign aid against his potential political opponent!

    "
A third framing, which we address here, is a more practical one: whether, for the purposes of carrying out further investigation, the House’s hand would be strengthened significantly if it initiated impeachment proceedings. A May 15 letter from White House Counsel Pat Cipollone to Jerrold Nadler, chairman of the House Committee on the Judiciary, brings this question into stark relief. The 12-page letter states, in essence, that the White House will not be providing any documents or information requested by the committee as part of an investigation announced on March 4 “into the alleged obstruction of justice, public corruption, and other abuses of power by President Trump, his associates, and members of his Administration.” In its response, the White House outlines a host of political and legal arguments, relying heavily on the premise that Congress has no “legitimate legislative purpose” for requesting the materials. This sweeping repudiation of Congress’s oversight powers brings into stark relief the question of whether there are procedural advantages in pursuing the same information and lines of inquiry under the banner of impeachment proceedings.

Senate Republicans will have to decide if they support our Constitution or an Imperial Presidency.

The question of truth and the solidity of shared reality has been so fundamentally degraded that sadly what might once have had a whole country up in arms; will only now raise 49% to that cause, while the deciding vote of the 1.1% will waiver, unable to sift through the ambiguities and deception.
My concurrence is so vigorous that elucidation becomes a challenge I must now, in the interest of time, shrink from.

Gaslighting is now one the Trump's biggest forms of defending himself. He is so good at it that he has other Repubs in lock step.

He knows he is in serious trouble. I think he would take the easy way out and say. "take this job and shove it" except for the fact that he faces a long list of criminal charges once he is out of office.

“The President actually said to Nancy Pelosi, ‘Hey, can we do something about this whistleblower complaint, can we work something out.’ And she said ‘Yes, you can tell your people to obey the law.’ So she quickly swatted that down."

Pelosi wanted private meetings with the President and then could not even wait to get off the White House grounds before spilling her guts in a diatribe as to what went on in the private meeting.

Can you in a SERIOUS mind, give a reason why she wanted a private meeting????

Pelosi has fought off attempts for an Impeachment Inquiry for over a year. Trump's request for Ukraine to come up with something/anything after the matter has already been investigated demonstrates clear violation of our laws. That Trump is willing to place his own personal welfare ahead of our national security says a lot!

I have no idea of why she wanted a private meeting. Maybe she suggested to Trump that he come clean.

That doesn't hide the fact that Trump admitted to seeking help for the coming election from a foreign country. Trump also lied yesterday when he claimed that the USA is the only country contributing to Ukraine's defense. The EU has already ponied up 16.5 BILLION.

There is going to be a lot of mud on the faces of his enablers in Congress.

This may end some political careers and all but assure another 4 years of Trump.

The democrats look at their list of candidates, and I use that term loosely, realize they are in deep poop.

So rather than try and win an election, they persist at trying to reverse the last one.
That they lost because of the garbage they ran.

There was only 1 person in the universe that could have lost that election to Trump.
    The democrats ran her.
    And cheated to do that.

x2, after seeing it play out with Clinton, you’d think they’d learn a lesson.

Cray cra Cary is referring to a meeting that happened long ago .
He lectures on others on how they don't debate fairly but he doesn't even address the subject that's being debated, but instead brings up some obscure thing completely unrelated from a long time ago.
