It does not seem to bother the Democratic Party nor the various Education Associations when the inner city minority's
    are left behind.

Regardless of the merit of LBJ's effort, it is miniscule towards the need.

Remember Dunbar HS in DC. Public school with standards, that those named in the 1st sentence fixed that to no
    one's benefit.

I simply wish there was one section of standardized testing and 1 class associated with it nationwide. It would be called communism/socialism bad capitalism representative democracy good..

Does anyone graduating from Le brons promise school know who Joseph Stalin and Chairman mao were and what they did? I doubt it.

Socialism is present in a number of countries with representative democracy, the two are not mutually exclusive.
My concurrence is so vigorous that elucidation becomes a challenge I must now, in the interest of time, shrink from.

I would tend to agree with you, since they are in 3rd grade....

In Marxist theory, socialism is the stage following capitalism in the transition of a society to communism. They are both founded on the idea of collective cooperation, but differs in that communists believe that cooperation should be run by a government made up of one political party.Dec 29, 2018

Mike, if we wait past third grade their indoctrination, programming and brain washing is too far gone.

Socialist nations run the spectrum of government intervention in the marketplace and distribution of wealth but in the first world they come into being through open and fair elections in which representatives are chosen from a slate of candidates from an unrestricted number of political parties. The USA on the other hand is distinctly unique amongst G7 nations in limiting voter choice to only two political parties.

You might debate the efficiency of markets in a fully Capitalist system (which the US is not) vs a Socialist one but you can’t argue that Socialism is not compatible with “representative democracy”. That is the only point upon which I made my reply.

Wrong, there were ten candidates for president on the ballot in 2016.

    Blindy and poached,

Green, Reform, socialist, independent, libertarian, democrat and republican in 2016.

Jill Stein and Johnson and Weld seem as forgotten as George C Wallace(who actually won a state or two), H Ross Perot (who gave us our 42 president Bill Clinton(42 % that is)) and the Bernie before there was Bernie candidate Gus Hall(4 times)!

Lots of state and local choice too.
