    Default Dogtra 3500 NCP

I've had this collar for 2 years now. It charges, but does not work beyond 10 yards. I've changed the antenna with the advise from Dogtra. Any recommendations? Also, what are the better collars on the market today?

    Thanks!!!!

You could send it back to Dogtra. ??? It could be something loose inside. Or try Collar Clinic. A top pro I knew used a 3500 so the model should be OK, but stuff breaks and with electronics it can be hard to diagnose.

I've had several Dogtra collars with no problems. Prior to that I had several old Tritronics models, but when the last TT model gave me trouble, I switched.

When I fell and lost the transmitter on my 1800 a few years ago, I got an Edge RT. It's bulky and has more features than I need, but it has been completely reliable and is a good training collar. I haven't looked at the latest collars, but there are probably many good ones, including the Garmin, several Dogtra models, and maybe the "Educator" collars.
