Mueller documented numerous efforts by Trump and his associates that prevented his team from gathering the evidence that it sought. Despite Attorney General William Barr’s characterization of the White House as “fully cooperative with the Special Counsel’s investigation,” the Mueller report paints a different picture. Mueller wrote about numerous instances in which witnesses lied or withheld information, deleted communications and used encrypted messaging applications. Other practical obstacles prevented Mueller from completing his investigation, including some witnesses’ refusal to answer questions on the basis of their Fifth Amendment privilege against self-incrimination, other legal privileges and the inability to obtain evidence located overseas.

Far from “clearing” or “exonerating” the Trump campaign for misconduct, Mueller found numerous links between individuals with ties to the Russian government and individuals associated with the Trump Campaign, but insufficient evidence “to charge a broader conspiracy” with Russian efforts to influence the election. Would an investigation free from obstruction have established evidence sufficient for criminal conspiracy charges?

"Officials in Moscow looked at the 2016 U.S. presidential race and asked, 'Which candidate would we like to have sitting in the White House? Who will help us achieve our goals?' And they chose him. From that moment, they deployed a system [of bots] for the length of the elections, and ran him for president," former Mossad chief Tamir Pardo told the audience at the Marker's digital conference in Israel on Monday, where experts gathered to discuss online disinformation campaigns and bots.

    For the DDSs on PP;

We're suffering from "truth decay," in part due to the pro-Trump echo chamber that is barely tethered to reality. "Truth decay" was popularized by this RAND report in 2018. We're well past cavities at this point, we're at the root canal stage of decay.

A democracy can die of too many lies. And we're getting close to that terminal moment unless we reverse the obsession with lies that are being fed around the country.

The willful ignorance of some here on PP is just overwhelming!

“There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.” Conservative Columnist Max Boot
There you go. Lie number 10 million and 1. You hold the all time record of all propagandists. There were no charges filed by Special PROSECUTOR. Mueller called himself that multile times but NEVER called himself "Special Exonorator".

Oh yes, now you are up to 10 million and 2. You call yourself one who supports civil rights, while at the same time condeming one who exercises those rights. What a hipocrit. I do not call you "ignorant" as it takes a special kind of imagination to spread such propaganda and then call anyone "ignorant". Keep trying as each post gives you another red or blue baloon on your clown suit. Pretty soon you will have more than even Shifty Shiff and hold the record.

I doubt Sanders will get the nomination. He would have to win the nomination on the first ballot at the DNC. If not, then Super Delegates come into play.

But, if it is Sanders, I would vote for him over a pathological lying fascist Trump!

Bernie is still a much better option than Trump!

I still support Bill Weld's candidacy. He received 10% of the Repub vote in the New Hampshire Primary.

I expect him to do well in the western Primaries. He should have enough delegates at the RNC to make life a bit miserable for the pathological lying Trump at the RNC.

I expect to see Trump vs Biden in the General Election. I also like Amy Klobuchar's midwest sensibilities.
Why would the Russians try to re-elect Trump?
Because he’s making Russia great again—while crippling American power and influence.
The Trump Presidency is Putin’s dream come true.

The truth is, you like Bernie and everything he stands for. Bernie is a full fledged communist that calls himself a socialist while you are at best a socialist claiming to be a libertarian.
You and every other pothead in the country has to express support for Bill Weld. He is irrelevant.

There is nothing Libdtarian about Frankie or Bernie. Both have no respect for either individual freedoms or rights. Both have no respect for either free seech or right to peaceful protest. Both support those policies that limit freedoms and rights. Both support those policies that limit and control normal every day roles of providing services in exchange for another's labor or exchanging their labor for another's services. The classic example is healthcare. The claim that ddtheir asking the individual to give up these rights are to guarantee healthcare when in truth this only gives these powers to the government which LIMITS access to healthcare and denies the rights above.

Really the same old false stories with the same old results. One only need to look at the countries that hare or are tryhing them.

Please never forget that Frankie's claim to be a Libertarian, is really his biggest falsehood.

    Dismissed with prejudice.

How does this new court decision make Mueller's work and indictments look now?

Very interesting read. To be honest, I don't think it reflects as much on Mueller and his investigation, as it does a justice dept afraid of letting out its investigative techniques.

    From the article:
Unlike the others under indictment, Concord fought the charges in court. But instead of trying to defend itself, Concord seized on the case to obtain confidential information from prosecutors, then mount a campaign of information warfare, a senior Justice Department official said.

At one point, prosecutors complained that a cache of documents that could potentially be shared with the defendants included details about the government’s sources and methods for investigation, among its most important secrets. Prosecutors feared Concord might publish them online.
