    Eugene!

Self dependency at it finest! Game stew is always good..

Mrs Gooser took up canning a few years ago.. It has become her passion.. She has a website that has a huge following..Shes busy with something everyday.. She demanded a special closet in what ever home we ended up with..Its full! Colorado Peaches, Olathe sweet corn,, Cortez Colorado beans.. She is THE rock here.. I am a lucky man..

John M! WOW!! that call and box is beautiful! Very creative.. You start working Hedge,, you must have a lot of time and patience on your hands.. raised hell with tools! ..Beautiful work sir..
I have run metal lathes my whole life,, I have never ventured into the world of wood lathes... I have been shopping recently though for a machine.. People have told me I will learn fast what "Sharp" is.... They tell me that right now,, I don't have a clue!

There are things to do that can occupy time and your mind..

Dogs laying at your feet contently asleep, while you indulge,,or enjoying walks with you to wake up in the morning become very special in later years..

This may become a good time for folks to take inventory of whats really important..

If you are in good health,, Thank the man upstairs.. Respect what he has provided for you,,and take care of yourselves, and loved ones..

    Family first..

    Gooser

A recent project.. An agility club contacted me to remake their traveling trophy! They apply engraved plaques ech year for the annual winner.. The old one was full..

They sent me the rather Large natural Diamond some club member dug up in their yard..

    Fun project..
Figured BlackWalnut with Hard Maple inlay bordering dovetails..

Nice work! Love the figured Walnut, grain is beautiful. Also admire the way you accentuate the dovetails too. Gonna have to figure that out sometime soon. Looks great!

Remarkable workmanship, admiring the skills particularly from someone like me who struggles with stickmen

Roseberry said, "Jim, the diver pics are super, get a bigger boat at 80!"

I did not wait until 80...bigger, safer and faster...more decoys plus a marsh boat to tow or "piggy back".

Dave, get out your tying gear and send me 5 bead head #12 anythings! The crackers will be bedding in a week or two.

Gooser your wood work pics from the past also inspired me to do another project/gift for a duck hunting buddy who invites me to his green timber place whenever I want to go. He bought a big farm down in Boligee a couple of years back and calls it "Farm FF" because those are his initials, F.F.

When i went to see his "new digs" summer before last, I asked to cut a piece of "osage orange", "hedge apple" or "bois d'arch" with his chainsaw from an ancient(for us about 90 years eug) hedge. I gave the excuse that i was gonna make Mrs Sherry a walking stick or some such nonsense.

Anyway, i made him a duck call(Cary Sadler acrylic stopper) and "presentation box".

Not certain why my pics are sideways, just tilt your noggin a bit gooser.

Nice work John, practically Gooser quality!
How did you cut your lettering?
