    Default Government to the Rescue

The part of the pork package that most will not see nor understand is the general public will feel
that the handouts are the government responding to their predicament. & in their next predicament
they will look to government for a solution, failing to understand that government is generally the
cause of most of the failures.

Any of you care to point out government shortsightedness?

I will start - the limitation of number of beds available for treatment - a state issue - rather than allowing
the free market to respond to need.

Marvin, I would like to hear what successes the goverment has when it limits freedoms and confiscates money and labor that is in the interest of the few, claiming it benefits the many.

    Politicians make many shortsighted decisions.
Far more troubling are those that seek to increase dependence on the federal government. They are not shortsighted, just the opposite.

Artificially lowering the amount of Dr's available by demanding they become educated by accredited institutions. Then limiting the amount of those those institutions available to prospective students. Lawyers are in the same boat. If you can pass the boards, what ever educational route you take, you know enough to do the job.

None of this Republican Socialism is needed. It will be all over by Easter as Trump said. We need to let the Free Market work, and not Government welfare.

Trump NEVER said it will be over by Easter, show me a direct quote where he said that.

He said "I would LOVE to see it over just after Easter, it probably won't be, but I'd love to see it."

You need a different news source.
    My source?
I saw the presser and saw and heard what he said LIVE.

    Your source?

You can call Republican's many things, if you must! But referring to them as Socialists is over the top, ridiculous!

I understand you are doing this because the Senate voted on this 'bailout' and the Senate is controlled by Republicans. The vote was 47-47~! Half Democrats and half Republicans.....So we can agree that the Senate voted on this bill, and you could make a case that giving newly printed money to Americans is a Socialist approach by Government. I get that and agree with that!

And their have been other areas where our government is doing things that are Socialist in nature, (e.g. Obamacare, National Control of our Education, etc.)

Unfortunately, for you the only Party that openly supports Socialists and Socialist ways is the Democrats (e.g. Bernie Sanders, Redistribution of wealth - Obama, etc. etc.)

So if you going to try and pin Socialism on Republicans, you may find a few times when a Republican supported something Socialistic, but they are exceptions. Contrary to that the Democrats have opening supported Socialist candidates, have socialist large portions of our economy, and always attack the rich to give to the poor, which of course is pure Socialism...
