Nope!!
I had a Cocker Spaniel that would only retrieve my slipper when it was 4-7 month old , and I was highly delighted that it did!! . His call name was 'Paddy' ,and he I retrieved him from across our water , those freckin Irish always take a while to get things right in their mouth , so I slipped a bumper in the slipper and just done what we always do with the slipper.
Lovely wee dog , better than some Labradors these days that just wanna be , rather than competition stake . But at 5 months old , I was happy with what he was doing ,rather than what he should be doing according to anyone else . . lol
