Cliff is such a nice person - even when I bombard him with my amateur questions. :D

Gooooood. Thanks Russ.

Direct flights from Australia are also available to San Francisco. Makes travelling life so much easier. I will check out my Travelling in the US guide book to try to find the distances etc.

Really close from San Jose...but probably no direct flights from Australia to San Jose...45 minutes at best from SJC so your drive from San Francisco will depend on traffic and time of day as much as anything over and above the SJC time.

San Francisco, San Jose, or Oakland airports are all close. I think Morgan Hill is a very nice area. I almost moved to the Bay Area for work and was considering living in Morgan Hill.

NFC 2007

I used to live in San Bruno,Ca which is 12 miles south of San Francisco and actually where the SF International Airport is located. San Bruno is 65 miles north of Mead Ranch site of the National. I drove there a lot as I trained with Bill Totten at the time. As mentioned the freeways get crowded. You can take 280 or the 101. I hope to get to the National as well. Marie

No reason why not to. Our national is a couple of weeks before. Andrew can be nagged into submission. Easiest US state, from Australia to travel to. I can drive on the other side of the road, sort of, LOL, after further car park practicing while in San Francisco.

Lainee, you have to find the time off. Please. As long suffering would not be interested in observing dogs, I will probably be travelling alone AGAIN to America as I am not interested in tourist type stuff. Crazy dog quest. Yet another one.

Lynne I hope to get to the National as a helper and a spectator. My old dog Spring is retired and Lightning is still in Qual. He may start running Opens this summer but qualifying for the Nationals this year is unlikely. However one never knows. I hope you and Mike get there as competitors. Marie
