Is there an agility championship? If yes, which is the title? Are there any retrievers that are agility champions?

The AKC title is Master Agility Champion (MACH) and several Labs have achieved it. To compete for MACH, a dog must first obtain excellent certification for agility (AX) and jumping (AXJ). I only know because a littermate to one of my females attained his AX and MXJ (Master Excellent Jumping) titles as a 2-yo.

My female black lab, Skeeter, just earned her ADCH - the USDAA championship title!

There are actually several retriever breeds that are agility champions (even some Goldens) :wink:

To earn the MACH title you must have 20 DQ's. A DQ is qualifying in both Standard and Jumpers classes in the same day. And you must earn 750 points which is calculated from how fast you are under course time.

Not an easy achievement.

A training buddy of mine has two goldens that have the MACH and Master Hunter titles. Tigger and Cedar are the call names. Her kennel is Bridgeton, but I don't know their registered names.

She and Tigger are currently working on an OTCH to add to the MACH, MH title.

Go to www.k9data.com and search by entering "MACH" as the prefix title. You will find a whole mess of Goldens with this title. I didn't count, but maybe close to 200...

Nancy's dogs are "Cedar" (MACH Bridgeton's Cedar Sandspur MH CDX) and her daughter "Tigger" (MACH Bridgeton's I'm the Only One UDX2 MH RA). Tigger has close to 70 OTCH points and all her wins. Nancy has some awesome goldens!

Agility

We have a MACH Golden with an MH and a NAHRA MH plus lots of other agility titles---belongs to my husband. I have his full brother who is a FC/AFC Golden.

The MACH Golden would have run field trials if it wouldn't have let to the demise of my marriage.

Also, my husband is running a QAA MH Lab in agility who is doing very well.
