I know a lot of you have connections to Beaufort and the Air Station here, so thought I would pass this on. A little while ago during the finale of the Blue Angels air show, one of the jets crashed right out side of Laurel Bay, the base housing complex near the Marine Corps Air Station, killing the pilot and setting some houses a fire. For the first time in many years, my husband and I were not there. There is no word yet on any injuries on the ground. I understand that traffic is at a stand still for miles around because the 150,000 people at the show were just starting to exit when all the area had to be closed down to allow for emergency crew access. Prayers for all involved.
