The qualifications of our current judges, how far retired guns walk, poison birds and walk-ups: Are these the real issues effecting the current and future state of AKC FTs?

The bottom line is that you can't legislate common sense or good decisions.... trying to do such would cause more harm than good.

As long as there are no entry limit restrictions, walk-ups need to be legal. Until quality grounds are mandated, poison birds or retiring away from a mark may be necessary.

And until people are begging to come judge my trial, i'm thankful i can find a warm body willing to give up 4 days and risk political suicide and public redicule.... anyone that can pass the test should be able to judge as long as point requirements are met. :D

No.
The Derby Birthday as it relates to the first day of the Trial issue and the Dow in the Minor stakes when using an Electronic Entry(EE) system are
The more Boiler Plate the better I like it.

The "apprentice judge" is a WONDERFUL idea! That way, someone relatively new to the game can learn first-hand from REAL judges what a great idea it is to lay dead birds on the ground in route to the blind instead of being back in the gallery, made up largely of other judges not working that weekend, and learning what a bad idea it is!

I can sence the judging pool getting better with just the prospect of this passing.
