I hadn't done hunt tests in ages, until last year when I did do the picnic hunt test last spring and a licensed test in August. Basically, I'm not a hunt tester and I don't think I'll be there this spring, depending on what the people I train with want to do.
My girlfriends sister found us a place for the night down in Knik. (Rented cabins behind a bar ) I heard that they have good food there also. Paula did not remember the name of the place so she will have to call her sis back. We will be leaving on the 5th and return sometime late on the 6th, depending on how Woody does. All we can do is learn.
Don't forget the camera and/or video camera....don't forget your whistle and check cord, if you want....
Oh.......and don't forget your dog (I know someone who has done this   ..no, it wasn't me...but I did forget my kid a his school once   ...)
You will have a great time!!! - When you are done running Woody, you can go watch the advanced level dogs....ask questions...and be prepared to be asked to throw birds too...
Woody and I would like to thank all the good people from the Midnight Sun Gun dog Association for the great picnic and training session. I learned a lot and met some great people! See ya again Juli, it was really great to meet you in person. Howard, I will meet you later in the season. (Hopefully Woody will like the ducks a bit more by then! :? )
