I have not been on the HRC web for some time. Mostly there are the same 8-10 closed minded people on there who run the HRC hard line "HRC is perfect, AKC sucks" We are pure, all others are not". Don’t get me wrong I love HRC events, just not the board. Anyway, there is a thread that is 5 freaking pages long about the use of a hat in casting a dog! I think about 10 people have contributed to this thread and it has gone on for 5 pages! The next time anyone feels like complaining about political or GDG threads on RTF, take a look at some of the other retriever boards out there. Give me 5 pages of Al Gore global warming any day over 5 pages of is it ok to use a hat or not. How much can you say about using a hat or gloves.......

Good point, but the hat thing over there stems from something that happened at an SRS event, NOT and HRC event. Who cares what rules someone else plays a different game by?
Holding a junior on a rope and seating on a duck is good stuff :wink:

Not to mention I was hoping I could get 5 pages out of this just for the fun of it.

Whats the difference? Come on......are you serious? Everybody knows that holding a dog on a rope is a multi-faceted conundrum complicated by differences in rope makeup, length, diameter and colors. Should you use a hat to handle is simple. No.
