:( I am going to have to give up my dogs....My health is gotten so bad that I just can't do it any more. I have some dogs listed over in the want ads and I sure hate to think of getting rid of them. I believe I had rather have sold my kids......LOL. I am going to try to keep a few dogs and do as much as I can but it is a crying shame to see these pups sit when they have a world of potential.[/img]http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p36/sundown49/Winoontheline.jpg

Did not realize your health was poor. Will add you to my prayer list.

I can imagine how difficult it must be to have to sell your dogs.

Hang in there.

Oh, Otey. I'm so very sorry. How heartbreaking. And of course you'll be in my prayers.
I'll also pray your four legged kids will find the perfect homes.
Take Care,

Otey ....

I am so sorry to hear that your health is to the point that you would have to consider such a step!

Chris and I met you at the Polock's first NFRA event and I will never forget your comments to me when I was airing our new pup at 4:30 am! You told me he was a good looking pup and wanted to know who the sire was. I said Cosmo and you told me that there was no way he could be a Cosmo pup as he was too quiet!! Well you will be happy to know that you were right ... he is and has been quite the talker!!

Wishing you all the best, you are in our prayers.

Otey, I don't know you, but I would like to thank you for making a decision in the best interests of your dogs. Incredibly hard, and very admirable. I hope I am able to be as selfless as you are being if I am in your position. My very best thoughts and wishes that you are as well and comfortable as you can be.

Otey -

I'm sorry to hear this. I have a friend in Kentucky who called me asking if I knew of any litters. I'm going to call her and give her your number.

I'm so sorry. I enjoyed running into you at a field trial? Was it a derby?

Otey-

This breaks my heart (what a sad, sad couple of days for RTF folks  -puts life in perspective). You were one of the highlights of the NFRA trial in NY. I kept thinking you had a clown car the way dogs kept coming off that truck! :) What I remember most though was your pride in every one of them-Billy the Kid had your heart on a string! You were always so, so kind when you complimented me on Kate even though she hadn't accomplished what other dogs have, but you knew what she meant to me. That kindness won't be forgotten & I pray for your health & good homes for your dogs.

You're a good man Otey Brabston!

Dearest Otey,

I know this decision was not an easy one for you and speaks volumes as to the condition of your health......but also for the love you have for your dogs. Knowing you, I am assured that they will be placed in the best homes possible, next to yours!

Take care, dear friend!!

We all try to believe this day will never come, but I guess it does. Sorry to hear about your health. I wish you the best and hope your well soon. Best of luck with placing the dogs. I cannot imagine how difficult such a situation would be, but you are a great man for making the best decision for both yourself and your dogs. I hope you can keep one or two.

get well

Otey, though we don't know each other, I've always known you to be a gentleman. Though it's a tough time, and harder than hell, try to be positive in what you have to deal with. Look for the good in all situations. Your actions are testament to your character. Wishing you the best.
