Just got a message from Bailey's owner and they want to pick her up next Monday evening. This Saturday will be two months.

I better get some videos of her progress tomorrow. But there is a big storm in the area and I may not get to train tomorrow. The owner has never come out, never returned my phone calls to discuss her progress. He hasn't paid for his second month of training but he is not getting the dog until he does.

The owner was told it was a four month program and he agreed.

I guess the story is that his daughter misses the dog. So he will get a half trained dog and probably complain about it.

As an older dog with no training, I had to spend a lot of energy with her to awaken her prey drive but finally got it done. I just got her off the force fetch table today and was going to start walking fetch tomorrow. Too bad!

Besides that one of my Texas A&M '62 classmates just died. It has been a bad day. I am upset.

Rest assured he'll be picking up a better dog than he dropped off ... Like Trevor said probably not the first time and surely not the last ... that's the trouble with clients. Sorry to hear about you college buddy ... hang in there ... and concentrate on the good things like the south end of a north bound dog slinging mud as they leave your side ...
