Uhhhh........

BAD GOOSER!!! You march right to the store and buy your wife a new tub. Whats the matter with you!? Truck liner is for trucks, which is where you will be sleeping if you don't get your wife a tub.

Goose, keep that one and do the bedliner and install another for your wife, put'em side by side and you might get to do a Cialis commercial!

Yea but you have to look at Mikes point of view, They put the tubs in when the house is in the framing stage for a reason, They are a B6%^^% to get out and in right now, you almost have to tear a wall out,

One thing for sure,,,, If you put that ******* rubber on your tub , you will never need a back scratcher again :):)

I've done the tub/shower insert replacement. You should definitely go the bed liner route...or move into a new house.

I had one refinished rather than replaced, even though we were redoing the whole bathroom, because it was a comfy, deep cast iron tub that I liked---about 60 years old. The finish had a much longer guarantee than a brand new tub.

It needs redone again, while the new tub in the basement (not comfy and not deep, though) is still good.

We replaced a rusty old cast iron tub with this:

I love it!

Of course we were remodeling the whole room and Dave got a big ol'shower in the other corner.

Moosegoosser.
Is your tub fiberglass or cast iron or acrylic?
Talk to your local plumping supply store (not Home Depot)and they will probably have repair kits. Ive fixed a few
Same with stainless steal . you can buy a kit and get rid of scratches

If you have a shower and a hot tub you don't need a bethtub....hot tubs are lots easier to get than a new bathtub, too.
