Or maybe it's that young folks today have no respect for other people's property. I work hard to have a nice house and a nice lawn, and I'll be damned if the whole neighborhood is going to walk through my yard to get to the park behind my house. Luckily for me I have never had to ask anyone twice to walk the extra 50 ft down to the sidewalk. This type of thing is the same as hunting without landowner permission. Trespassing plain and simple. It's sad that a 15 yr old got shot, but I'm guessing the kid isn't as innocent as everyone is making him out to be. That being said the shooter should, and will, live the rest of his life in a jail cell.
