I do not know exactly how much I will be online over the coming days. I'll be away from a desk for the next week.

Nimrod, thanks for all that you have done to help make me feel welcome and to prepare for this trip. I'll see you in less than 24 hours on your turf!

Some of you who enjoy stirring the pot.... How about you let it sit for a few days?

Y'all be good!

Chris you just go have fun. I'll keep an eye on those pot stirrers, don’t you worry about it.

Have a great time over on the OL' SOD -- and we promise to truly behave ourselves -- just no mooning any TV cameras after drinking Bushmills (or better yet Connemeara Single Malt Irish Whisky)

An Old Irish Toast: "May the roof over our heads not fall in, and the friends underneath not fall out"
And the Guiness always tastes better in Ireland (fresher, don't you know)

Chris and Ireland

It's 23:00 here in Ireland and I will meet Chris tomorrow at 10:30 local time.

He will be training with "his dog" tomorrow evening with some of the guys here.

On Thursaday he and I will do two radio interviews and then a TV link up on Friday teatime from the game fair site for live TV this side.

On Saturday he has a radio interview at 08:00 with BBC, will run in the international retriever event as part of the Rest of the World Team, demonstrate duck calling twice in the main arena, be guest of honour at the gundog dinner that evening and then on Sunday judge the National Retriever Challenge as a Visiting Judge.

What a busy weekend.

We won't have time for whiskey or Guinness!

And if you really believe that last statement you should watch out for those flying pigs!

Let's raise holy hell, no holds bar, mud slinging, etc. for the next two weeks, nothing but unrelenting evil. Just ribbing ya. Have a wonderful trip, we'll all behave.

E-Mail

Chris just e-mailed me from O'Hare Airport. He's in the airport bar having a cold beer awaiting his time to board.

Now that's the way to start a trip to Ireland.

He's already getting some practice in!
