I think the best duck rig is a 1744 Gator Trax and a 35HP Mud Buddy Hyper Sport. Carries 3 guys, dog, gear and mid to upper 20mph range. Goes anywhere you want to go. Hands down the best.

I would get a 1848 pro drive and the 36. I will carry a big load and do it well.

Yes, you need to answer this first! That 1744 Gator Trax and a 35HP Mud Buddy Hyper Sport would suck in some of the places I hunt. Rocky rivers are no place for a mud motor!

very true on the rocky rivers with the MB but other than that, very good on open water and back water. Never been out in the sea other than saltwater creeks and marshes so I dont know how it is in waves.
