If memory serves me, she was whelped February 21, 1999. She or one of her littermates was born in our bedroom. The rest thankfully were delivered in the prepared whelping box.

I picked River as she would have been to much dog for the other buyer, the doctor got Magic.

River has been diagnosed with lung cancer.

With many years separating us and thousands of miles, still a tear falls.

It must be hard for the Steinman family. I wish you well as she nears her end.

So sorry to hear this news, Daniel.
You and Birgit have always spoke of her with nothing but the highest regard.
Hug Ripple a little bit tighter for the next while.

I'm sorry to hear this. I have had a dog with lung cancer, and would like to pass along a couple things. My dog handled chemo beautifully, and was in remission for over a year with a good quality of life-he was 11 when diagnosed. If that is not an option, please try piroxicam, every other day, and give it with pepcid. It works, too. I hope she is comfortable, and I am sure she is well loved.
