OK. I have a yellow female and a black male. Pups will be?

Sire is Black out of two blacks. No color gene.

Dam is yellow out of Black-BY sire and Yellow dam.

Will I get all Black-yellow factor or will 25% be black-B ?

If I read it right, according to the Blue Knight coat color site, the pups would be all blacks who carry yellow.

Just because the black sire is out of 2 blacks does not mean he doesn't carry color. One or both of his parents may carry color. You would need to do more careful research regarding what the dogs in the lineage carry.


Color can carried be forward from generation's back.

Lisa, the sire is solid black all the way back in his pedigree.
Looking at Vetgen, it appears that the pups will all be yellow factored. Just want to make sure I am not missing something. Paul
