I have an older 4 shooter. I had to change out the batteries a couple years ago and had to get them from bumper boy. Anybody know if you can replace the batteries without going through bumper boy? What should be the minimum yardage for shooting off a bumper boy?

Via their website:

The receiver battery pack consists of five 1.2 volt AA batteries with 700 mAH capacity. If my math is correct, 5 x 1.2 = 6 volts. That means you could wire them up to a 6 volt battery.

You ought not have too much trouble finding something that will work. Seems these guys were able to find some non OEM stuff.

I don't own one, but the connectors appear to be the Tamiya and are fairly common. I know a lot of radio control and airsoft folks use those.
