Any updated options for a replacement battery for BB receivers with new electronics? I happen to have an extra so I replaced one battery but it is only a matter of time until another one bites the dust.

Not sure if this helps you or not Wayne as my BBs have the old electronics. But I took my battery pak out and then took it to our " battery's plus" store. They made a new batt. pak for $29.95. Hope this helps

Which SportDog battery is it?

Took my battery to Batteries+ and they said they don't work on lithum batteries.

Tom, I have one old unit and had Batteries + replace it. But the new electronics are different.

All the Sport dog receivers look the same, and the Hawx looks like them. Someone on here said they got a receiver battery from Sport Dog and it worked and then they got a transmitter battery and it worked.

I am going to try the above battery. Will let everyone know how it goes. By the way I talked to reps at Collar Clinic, Gundogsupply and SportDog but they "know nothing" in regard to the question.

John, I saw the 4/30 pm and did call SportDog this morning. They weren't very helpful as to the general question.
If the battery I ordered works, I will give them and Gundogsupply a heads up.

Photos of new battery for Bumper Boy receiver. The old battery is blue the new one gold colored. You can see the new one is smaller and the case opening was designed for the blue battery. However there is rubber padding built into the battery and the cover for the opening holds it in place. It turns on and off fine. Now I have to do a launch test.
The new battery is the same volts but is slightly less 550 Mhz as opposed to 600.

Sportdog does show a blue 600 Mah battery too.

Ok, thanks John. Must be new as I didn't see it or I just overlooked. Gundogsupply said their winger releases were so new they didn't have the batteries. It's only a matter of time until I need another one.

So what was the result of your testing? Did the Sport dog 550 Mhz battery work?

The Sportdog 550 Mah battery did not work for me except at very close distances. John I looked for the blue 600 Mah battery but could not find it. Can you provide a link? Anyone else have battery suggestions?

I doubt that the lower mah is affecting your range though. Can you switch batteries with another unit and see if the problem follows?
