I bought 3 bumper boy units used. 1 unit had 2 broken servos when I bought it. broken where the servos arms that screw down to unit attach to servo body. I replaced servos and have now had to replace 1 of the servos 2 more times for the same problem. Thats 3 busted servos while all the others have performed flawlessly. Does anybody know what I might be missing or what might be causing this?

I put graphite powder in my releases when I charge the batteries so the triggers don't get too stiff.

If yours were used they may have been abused. In any case they don't last forever. (tho I may have some that are 9 yrs old.)

I had a BB servo that was not putting enough pressue on the trigger mechanism so the trigger would not engage. Another traininer who has expereince with BBs removed the screw that holds the servo arm and adjusted the arm position so that the arm would engage the trigger mechanism and the launcher would fire.

With your problem I presume you could do just the oppostie: change the servo arm position so that it does not break when engaging the trigger. Just a thought.

Good training.

They don't come with it but they probably have them and can give you an idea of what the problem may be. I recently found an email gets a quick response from BB.

I think yellowdog may be on the right track.

No it doesnt. although one of the others does not have it either and no problems. I have been trying to figure out how to get a few of those brackets. Anyone happen to know if the servos bumper boy sells come with the brackets?
You might could try some washers or metal strap. Mine all have those brackets and it looks to spread the load across the plastic. The last servo I bought came with the brackets I think. When I get home I'll look in my spare parts box. I may be able to help.

I just looked on BB's site. It comes with it if you order from them. Notice the metal plate on top of the servo? Here's the link:

I have had 3 2 shooters since 2005 or there abouts. I have always had trouble with the servo's but it does not seem to be with all of the units. I buy 3 at a time with wiring harness assembled and I'm happy. I have heard the male female connection on the wiring also has a lot to do with this and not the actual servo's
