One of my training partners has Cabelas bumpers. both sizes . Easy to throw, not heavy at all ,in fact the small ones are extremely light. Good for very young puppies. Of theirs I prefer the big ones for general use.
They are "pliable' as you asked- not at all rock hard....

that is good info. I have an order ready to submit for about 36 bumpers and will just stick with lucky dog and DT soft mouths that have worked well for me.

thanks for the input.

I have a bunch of the Cabelas bumpers, they are definitely soft/pliable, but I have found they are also really slippery and the dogs have a harder time keeping a good hold on them compared to every other brand of bumpers I own. I will not be buying them again!

Have not experienced the Cabelas bumpers splitting... We use mostly birds when training though, except for drills and blinds.- I wont give them a negative vote. but really, always buy my bumpers from Neumann and Bennetts in Klamath Falls. They are very good people to deal with, make a good product and are a small family owned business. That gets my vote.. My friend bought the Cabelas bumpers, I have not-and won't just because I prefer to do business with the 'little guys'......

Got some. It seems like the knobs on them are barely bumps compared to other ones. Also agree they are a bit slippery. Also no valve on them like on some of the other bumpers. I'd vote for lucky dog or the Avery bumpers. Been happy with both

I second N&B. I may pick up the irregulars when I am feeling thrifty, but have found nothing lasts as well as N&B, so over time they are well worth it. Great selection as well. Any color you can think of.

+ 3 on Nuemann and Bennetts, except I always buy the irregulars. I really can't see a significant difference between their irregulars and the regular bumpers. It appears to me that the irregulars may have some slight un-uniformity in color mixing is all. Also N&B come with the ropes already on them. I have Lucky Dog also and they are a good bumper and last a long time.
