If I had the data (which I don't), my focus would be on the water temps (while considering the air temps).Brandon said:Well, BOB!
Let's see its okay to have one in December but not late February?
Dec. MAX AVG MIN
MAX TEMP 68 50 39
MEAN TEMP 56 40 34
MIN TEMP 43 30 23
Feb.
MAX 73 55 38
MEAN 59 45 35
MIN 53 34 22
Mar.
MAX 76 60 37
MEAN 62 48 35
MIN 56 36 22
All of these temperatures were from the week of the 15th of there given month. So enlighten us some more on your knowledge of our climate here in North Carolina. I talked to a pro who went and ran a Master Test this weekend in Maryland and said there was snow on the ground. Maybe they should have called the test off because of real conditions? There might be some big names that don't show up, but you can bet the ones that do will have a good trial!
In case anyone wants to know, the water temp on avg is only about 5 degrees cooler in Feb than it is in Dec. This also depends on the water that your running in (source, depth, sunlight, etc...). Not sure that 5 degrees is enough for anybody to get upset about. If we waited for the "IDEAL FT weather" we might only have 3 FT a year in NC. So my opinion is, if you don't like the weather during the FT, then just don't go, wait for "IDEAL" conditions.Bob A. said:If I had the data (which I don't), my focus would be on the water temps (while considering the air temps).Brandon said:Well, BOB!

My opinion only, but mid Feb in NC generally isn't ideal FT weather. Do you think it is?
