What are the "rules" for casting with wind? Silent "over" into the wind? Vocal "over" with the wind? And why would be really appreciated? Thank you....pete

a general rule is that silent casts are used when you need a change in direction only. vocal casts are used when you need a change in momentum.

sometimes you need both......

which is why we sometimes see a handler at a trial take a step into an angle back and command "back" just as the dog finishes it's turn and starts the new direction. -paul
