We were contacted by someone who was at an EE field trial last week. They laid their pink catalog down on a wet hotel countertop. Not sure how long it stayed there but the end result was a "stained" countertop. We were told we may be getting a call from the hotel if they could not remove the stain.

I'm unable to duplicate this at home using the exact same catalog cover/color and a dinner plate. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Why am I not surprised that Mr. Metro would be generating pink catalogs...?

Shayne, the problem may be with the countertop... Some are cheapo and will stain very easily. Not your fault.

That's what I'm thinking. A plate wouldn't stain because it isn't porous(sp?) A cheap formica(sp?) stains pretty easily. Usually a little bleach and a scrubber will take care of it.

I mainly wanted to see if the color would run. It didn't.

Maybe it was not water that diluted the ink on the paper. Maybe crown and coke or other mixes.

As crap runs down hill check with paper Co.

Tell them to try the Mr. Clean magic eraser things. They work wonders.

I'd tell them to go straight to H E Double hockey sticks if I got that call. I think at first I would assume it was a radio station playing a joke. Then when Mr. Patel from the hotel convinced me that he was serious then I would use the double hockey sticks on him.

Why would the hotel be calling you?
Not exactly sure.

I just want to make certain the quality of our product meets the needs of our customers. If colors are running off and ruining clothes and jackets, we need to make a change... but i don't believe that is the case.

catalog color problems

Shayne;

A few weeks ago one of the orange catalogs got wet in the rain while in my back pocket and stained the leather seat in my truck. It came off with a little soap and water. If I had known you were responsible, I could have had new upholstery.

just kidding regards,

Tom

catalogs

I had one of those "swishy" pink catalogs last week. Mine got wet and no running of the ink. No problems here!

I had one of those pink ones last weekend also. I hate to say it but it got wet and ruined the leather seats on my new LX-470. About $8500 should cover the replacement. I pm'ed you my address.

Thanks in advance for the prompt service regards,
Arturo
