We got Chris safely to Ireland (Business Class of course). He has only been here a day and he has trained with his dog Drake, met a bunch of the guys, drunk lots of Guinness and Bushmills and now, as I type this at 01:00 local time is probably sleeping off his jet lag.

Tomorrow, sorry, later today we meet the Mayor of Lisburn, do two radio interviews and then Chris will go rabbit shooting over ferrets in the afternoon.

Tomorrow night he'll tie up with his Rest of the World team mates from Holland and Germany.

Watching him enjoy his first pint of ice cold Guinness was just a treat. I do believe he was dreaming about it on the flight over. Like a child on Christmas morning such was his satisfied expression.

I'll keep you posted.

What a great host bill has been! I have been here 24 hours and things have been awesome!

Guiness tastes better fresh in its homeland!

We met the mayor this morning and have done two radio pieces.

Drake is a very nice dog. We will train tonight and we also have plans to go ferreting. Can't wait for that!

The hospitality here is unmatched!

I will post more tonight!

as do I, will the Ferret folk work with the Falcon demo team? I just did a google and found this about Chris - http://www.gamefairireland.com/duckcalling.htm

Chris, if they ask you to put on the pants with the hidden ferret pocket, RUN!
Is that a ferret in your pocket or are you just glad to see me?

Ken, they wear skirts

Just trying to set the record straight regards

Here are some of the pictures taken today of Chris' visit.

The first was when he met the Mayor of the City of Lisburn and presented him with RNT duck call and received a City plaque in return.

The second is Chris explaining duck calling to a group of Lisburn school children on a visit to the City's Civic Centre

The final one is Chris being interviewed on local radio

More pictures tomorrow

Ferret

Skip

If you get a ferret up your trouser leg you'll be singing in the front row of the choir come Sunday morning!

Great pictures!!! Thanks for sharing them with RTF!!

(Looks like Chris got quite a haircut before his trip! :) )

Ummmmm, I don't know if you'll feel comfortable doing this, but, when you get a chance, give Chris a hug and tell him we're all very proud of him!!!

Hugs

Vicky

I'll give him a hug over breakfast tomorrow morning.

Boy can this guy eat and drink Guinness. He'll be 10 lbs heavier when he gets on the plane home.

I'll have to pay excess baggage for him!

Cool!!! I would love to see his face when you hug him!!! LOL Maybe he'll just think it's an "Irish Tradition".....hehehehehehe

Better not send him home with too many extra pounds! The "Moira" on this side of the pond may not be happy about that!!
