WELCOME!!!!

The members of the Treasure Coast Retriever Club, Inc. look forward to seeing you in Okeechobee, Florida on the weekend of February 11-12, 2006 for the spring AKC hunt test. The events will feature a single Master stake that will begin at 8am on Saturday the 11th. Back-to-back Junior and Senior stakes are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, February 11-12.

Entries close Wednesday, January 26, 2006

Thus my question. The 26th of January is on Thursday. Would the entries close on the 26th or on Wednesday which is the 25th?

Check with Macy, but I am pretty sure the 26th is the closing DATE, and Wednesday is a misprint. I think the actual date takes precedence over the day.

I sent my entries in yesterday and should get there by today or Wednesday, but I was just curious if someone else sent their entries in and they did not get there until Thursday the 26th.

This happend with another test here in the state (cannot remember which one, might have been TCRC) and I sent mine in at the last miunte. The responce was that they would accept them until the later date/day that was printed. I am sure you will have no problem.
I was planning on sending mine today, but I have to go to Vegas the week before and will not make it home in time. I get back at 9 am Saturday so that puts masters out of the question. I was still gonig to run seniors and juniors on Sunday , but one of my bitches will be in heat by then and combined with a week of no training, I think I would just be making donations to the club. :(

They will probably have a master A and master B and quite a few entries. If you are a few hours late you will probably still be able to run the master series as it will take most of the day to get through the first series.

I train my dogs only on the weekends and do not remember the last time I trained on a hunt test set-up even before a hunt test. All of my set-ups I run are marks with white coats and a stick men. Glen Lokay has a stick man that he puts a white bag over and I call it the bag lady. I am running both of my females, Kate and Hooker (if Hooker is not in heat) and two of Ginny's dogs Hunter and Smoke. Kate has been in heat for the last week and a half and she will be out by the time the hunt test is run.

My biggest problem is that I will have one in heat at the time and my two males lose their minds and that equals a donation to the club. The training is not so much a worry. I do not get into Ft. Myers until 9 a.m Saturday if there are no delays. Believe it or not I am returning home to Florida from Las Vegas via Pittsburgh PA!! Go figure. Pittsburgh is almost as far from here as LV is. No wonder the airlines are going broke. I leave LV at 10:30 p.m so I just don't think I can make the drive over on Saturday. I will probably come over Sunday and help out and maybe run a test dog or pick up dog.
