Hello all,

Due to the large entry, we're required to split our Master stake.

Tom Lehr will be judging with David Butler;
Terry Thomas will be judging with Andrea Fisher;

I'm very excited to offer this slate of judges! By splitting it this way, handlers who have already entered will be able to run under one of the previously announced judges. There is still time TONIGHT to enter thru Entry Express.

My question is if junior is not split will you put the pros on the clock or are we all going to have to wait till they decide to leave the other stakes? Some of the pros have a large amount of dogs entered.

For the record-I'm just curious if Junior will be split. I'm not trying to express any dissatisfaction. I also know that at least one of the pros w/ entries in multiple stakes has given back by judging.

There are 2 days to get through Junior & there may not be the grounds or manpower to split.

Hi Miriam,

Yes, due to grounds limitations and worker constraints, Colonial will have one Junior stake.

Because we had to split the Master stake to accommodate the AKC requirements, our resources are stretched.

We are making every effort to finish in one day, and minimize any inconvenience to the Junior handlers. This should also improve our turnout at the tailgate!

My experience has been that everyone does their best to cooperate to make the best of these situations, and so far that seems to be the case.

Please remind everyone that these grounds can be VERY hot this time of year, and be prepared for a long hot weekend... and cool temperaments.

Add me to the list of workers too (prefer helping in Master, but whatever you need). I run very early, so the plan is to put Finn in air conditioned comfort afterwards. I'd prefer working over gallery time.

Energency vet visit for Finn this morning requiring stitches, so he may be a scratch if he doesn't heal well, but otherwise we'll be there with bells on!!

Miriam, I hope Finn is OK. I'll put you down as back-up to spell someone, especially if it's hot. What am I saying, "IF". It's W. Thompson in August.
