A little birdie told me that our friends from down under had some success this weekend....

I'm not sure what stake, but my guess is Restricted, but Julie took 1st with Yo (aka Ozzie) and 3rd with The Yankster.

Also Stoney took 2nd in BOTH the novice and Restricted (not sure if it was with the same dog or not).

Congrats....

thanks for the encouragement.it is appreciated. Bosco came second on the first day but bombed out 1st bird on day 2. it was the type of mark that you had to be looking in exactly the right direction and he wasn't. many of our marks land behind trees which can fool young inexperienced dogs. On day 3 Bossco ran in restricted and bombed out run No2. he failed to cut the edge of a dam at a distance and got lost. Bossco was handled by a friend of mine and his dog ran second in restricted. Julie had a great win in restricted but not with Yank. I have gotten all this info second hand so I might be wrong
all in all a promising start but I don't think we have the locals worried quiet yet

Yank did well, but more importantly was well behaved and controlled. Our heeling standards are quite high in Australia and Yank was outstanding. Training during summer in cover, with our snake problem is always a concern. Since the worst of the heat is over, Yank is using his nose much better. I must mention Judy Aycock, who was our last US visitor. Make that dog mind!!!!! OK!!!!!

Yo Ho, was a good boy too.

Thanks.
