I didn't want to hijack the thread on kennel transition, so here goes. I have a 5mth blf that belongs to daughters boyfriend, that we keep in the crate when not at home just like the other dogs. The problem is she urinates in there, none of the other dogs ever had this issue. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

How long are you expecting the dog to stay in a crate and "hold it"???

An 8-10 hour workday (including driving time) is a lot to expect any animal to be cooped up in a crate without accidents.

Has she had a vet exam to check for a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)?

Does she have water in the crate?

How big is the crate? Sometimes dogs who are not given ample opportunity to potty mid-day just go in one end and rest in the other.

Every dog is unique...perhaps she just has a small bladder.. or drinks excessively and then isn't given ample opportunity to relieve herself before she goes back in the crate.

There have been numerous subjects on this topic, one of the recurring topics. Try search on "crate training" or "housebreaking"
