I guess I just have to realize I can't get everything I want. Spooks now 6 months old and doing great. Now he's turned into the little destroyer. He used to be inside during the day when I'm gone in his kennel. I've been letting him run around the backyard now that he's older. He's destroying everything from my lattice panels to fence boards to guttering. He's just being a dog. I have a 10x10 kennel i can use as well as a large wire crate for inside. I was wondering the pros and cons of both crating and kenneling your dog while your gone?

Keeps them safe-from themselves and from other "outside" influences. As long as the kennel and the crate don't become the extent of their lives, then there really isn't any "cons" of doing it.
