I have searched the site and found nothing. My question is, what constitutes a Derby year? Is it Jan. 1- Dec. 31? is it total points a dog has in the year in which he ages out? Thanks in advance for any help!

Are you asking in relation to the derby list? The derby list counts all points a dog gets from their first derby, until they turn 2. It does not matter if the points were in one year or more than one year.

If a dog/bitch turns 2 on or after January 1st, they will appear on the derby list for that year, with all of their points, even if they did not earn any points in the new year.

Example 1:
dog turns 2 in January 2011. The dog earned 10 points in 2010 and no points in 2011. The dog will show up on the 2010 Derby list with 10 points, and again on the 2011 Derby list with 10 points

Example 2.
dog turns 2 in May 2011. The dog earned 10 points in 2010 and 15 points in 2011. The dog will show up on the 2010 Derby list with 10 points, and again on the 2011 Derby list with 25 points
