I purchased my 8 dog from Ron two years ago. Really nice rig that has served me well. If I ever change to a chassis mount I expect Ron will be building that too!
How about the boys at MTCK in Virginia. Ben and John Hucks do a nice job at a good rate. They are very willing to work with you on details and are looking to please. I've had good luck with them.
The really big outfits spend lots of bucks in sponsorships. Iams and Purina make big donations to both National Championships. TriTronics, Dogs Afield, Lion country and Ainley to name a few more frequently give donations to various trials. Every hat I have from a National has the Purina logo on the back.
It seems to me that the point of sponsorship is marketing. Doesn't it make sense that a company would be more interested in sponsoring an event where their name and logo would appear on television? The quality of the dog work or one's perceptions of the talent injvolved has no bearing on the bottom line of a company that is trying to sell its products. Any time someone considers a sponsorship deal, he has to find the WIFM.
