Maybe the DOW start should be extended?
John
or maybe RAC should permit a Limited Entry Open stake and then there'd be no 100+ numbers

I liked the way it was once done, if you had more than 75 dogs in an Open, Limited, or Special you had to go to the next more restrictive stake, I would add if you had 80 or more you had to hold a Restricted, if you had over 75 in a Restricted you had to hold a Limited Entry Restricted Open (which does not exist but it's time will come)

It's pretty hard to hit 100+ in a Restricted Open with no direct weekend competition as it is now, isn't it Ed?

 !

I would like a bettter answer than the restricted!!!! Why can't the AKC make things a little easier on the clubs?

We've had 3 restricteds, in order to manage the numbers. I don't like them. There is currently 1 dog elligible to run a restricted from the club members.

How much longer will club members want to do all the work of a trial for the traveling pros?

There has got to be some better options!!!!

I think that is back in force, except its 65 entries (I think...I could be wrong... 8) ). And I may be wrong again, but I don't think there's much chance of a 100 dog Restricted, or anything else that will force another entry option...

Did I miss something. I thought that they just watered it down by making it at the clubs option!.

5. Any club which, in the preceding field trial year,
held a trial in which there were more than 65 starters in
Open, Limited, Special or Restricted Stakes may, at its
option, apply to hold a Limited, Special or Restricted All-
Age Stake, the choice being governed by the club’s view of
the reduction needed.
