I'm a newbie trying to decide on a collar- you've probably seen my other thread asking for help picking a collar. I was looking at the DT SPT-7800 collar (http://www.dtsystems.com/products/spt.aspx) earlier and given all the features incorporated into it for not much more than the TriTronics G2 models, I'm wondering what the deal is with them? Why hasn't anyone recommended DT collars- are the unreliable? I read somewhere that they're the 2nd oldest maker of e-collars and I would have thought that they'd have come more highly recommended than I've seen.

Just curious what the deal is with them. Anyone?

Never have used DT collars, but do have one of their bird launchers for upland work. I have never had any problems and it gets used alot. The Transmitter does seem a little on the cheap side, but again, never had a problem. Far as Collars go, I use Dogtra and love my 2000 NC. So I really can't say much about their collars.
