female mallard laid a dozen eggs on edge of business location. Parking lot one side/city street other side. Need to know when and if to move them. Hen will let me get close enough to catch her but I think would be best to let them hatch and then catch and relocate. They will not last at this location much past hatching. Called zoo and various rescue locations...no help. This is in heart of city (Memphis, TN) I live on a 40 acre lake out in the country. If I caught and tranferred now would she stay with eggs. Need to know whats best. I've shot enough ducks in my life that I feel I owe something back.

I understand your heart is in the right place, but let mother nature run its course, you upset her now and she wont sit on the nest, and if you dont have another drake nearby she wont drop another clutch of eggs....relocate the ducklings if any survive

There is also legal ramifications..

Bon gave you the best advice.

Mallards are like rabbits, if she loses the clutch she'll try again.
