Anyone have any good suggestions for FC studs in Iowa or near Iowa. Seems like most of the good litters come from studs in Missouri and Minnesota.

I just started to think about my next litter and was considering something different this time around so I'm open to suggestions. My bitch is out of Ramblin Man and a Cropper bitch. The last litter we had was with my own male that is out of a Moon River bitch and Easyrider.

All the pups went to hunting homes and I was very happy to have them all spoken for by 5 weeks of age, which was 1 week after I advertised. You might wonder why I want to mess with what worked before but I don't do it for money. I have four kids under age 8 and a wife that all love puppies and it is rewarding to see a family take home a puppy you know is going to make them happy.

I'd prefer a yellow male as my female is black but will throw yellow and I like a mixed litter as it is much easier to find a fit for someone set on a certain color and gender but for the right bloodlines I would also consider a black male.

That's enough rambling. I appreciate your input.

We have a bitch by rapirian windfall "Ricky". I do not think you could go wrong with him as he needs just 1.5 points or something like that for his FC and I think 3.5 for his AFC. He has both wins.

Ok I just checked and I was wrong on the points he needs 3.5 for his FC and 9 for his AFC but does have both wins. I thought he was alot closer for his AFC.

Looking for something local to do a natural breeding ducksoup. Nitro is quite aways from here and looks like they are only doing AI with him at this point.

Thanks to everyone else that has responded. I've started to formulate some ideas and have also thought of a couple other possibilities in researching the above suggestions.

I primarily breed for hunting traits and appearance as these are what my buyers are looking for but since I can't poll them upfront I generally look to combine two bloodlines that I would be interested in a pup out of.

Besides the breeding issue I also had trouble thinking of many Iowa based FC so I thought this would be a way to get an idea of how many are out there.

Rooster doen't even throw yellow, but his brother, Razz, is yellow factored. Razz isn't an FC, but is QAA. He is also owned by the Busler's.
