I am going to be getting a new pup in about a month and hopefully I will get him into some Field trials. Can anyone tell me some good FT trainers? I am hoping to get him atleast QAA and if he has talent for more I will keep him in training for his FC title.

Not sure where you are in Minnesota, but I would look at Bruce Curtis for your basics, and then Wayne Curtis after that. They are in northern Wisconsin.

Assuming you want a trainer close to where you live there are several choices in Minnesota and Wisconsin -- some likely have waiting lists -- but there's Dave Rorem in International Falls Minnesota -- in Wisconsin Andy Attar, Bruce and Wayne Curtis, Jim Van Egen (young dog specialist), Dave Smith (just recently out on his own), and finally of course Mike Lardy

Without question Steve Yozamp or Wayne Curtis.
They treat the dogs as their own. Both are more than OK with you coming to train with them as well if you want since if you will be running the dog at all you need to be a team. Wayne, Builds a relationship with your dog from day one (he wont start working your dog until the second week outside of fun work since he wants to teach the dog he is its buddy and wants your dog to be eager to see him when you drop him off every time, and eager to please Wayne.) -- Makes perfect sense to me!

Steve I have numerous times seen his dogs get 1 place 2 place and 3 place at trials. I have never heard him yell at a dog, or say something negative about any of his dogs compared to many trainers when a dog doesnt do what he asks or performs how he wants. Steve travels with his daughter to trials, she assists with letting the dogs out to go to the bathroom during the trials and if Steve cant (due to running order) his daughter towel dries every dog prior to kenneling it. He views your dog as his, and treats it as such!

I have been very happy with Steve Yozamp. He has partnered with Lynn Troy. Lynn has our 3 year old and she is coming along nicely. Hottie earned an RJ last weekend in a 90 dog open. She was the youngest dog to finish.
