Hello all,
I am just wondering if you have an opinion about what flea and tick prevention to use? I've looked at all the different types from natural oils to the veterinarian recommended brands and am not sure what I want to subject my dog to. Thank you in advance for you input.

I use the Walmart knockoff of Frontline, Pet Armour. I have had good luck with it.

2nd the trifexis for fleas and heartworm. Was using some topical stuff from the vet and had a little flea problem this month on 1 dog, don't ask how it was only 1 out of 4 dogs. Bet switched to trifexis, 40 minutes later fleas falling off of him, have been flea free since

If there are more than 1-2, fleas to me represent a world war. I shampoo the dogs, fog the house, and spray a band 3' wide around the house. I do this 3 times at 7 day intervals in order to catch the fleas in all the stages of their development/growth.

Then, I burn all the little flea bodies stacked in a pyre. Then I take a flea out in the front yard and drive a wooden staken through it's teeny heart and put a sign on the carcass that reads, "Here's the last flea to visit here..."

Haven't had more than a couple fleas in 10 years.

It sounds like your looking for some sort of natural, no toxic chemicals kind of solution. ??

Yeah... I really would like to see a less toxic chemical for the dogs and cats, but since there is not... I am going to go with the frontline plus. It seems to be the most recommended and I trust my vet and that what they sell. Thank you all for your input. I will let you know how the experience goes after next weekend.
