·After watching SRS on TV yesterday...
I had a rough time getting to sleep last night -- something that NEVER happens (I can sleep on a rock 99.99% of the time).
Anyway, Joie and I had talked about how we want a couple of the dogs here to run SRS maybe one time next year for kicks. One of them ran at 2yrs old in the first one against Ticket (who went on to win) and missed advancing by only a couple of points (of course, we KNEW Ticket was a better dog, but still!).
And he, a client dog, is getting older and I know his owner would love to send him to run...
So, anyway, I had a dream that I took him (Newt) and my Alli (avatar).
It was a walk-up that went around the building to a really really simple hunt test double in some cover. Newt ran first and "switched". I don't know if this is SRS rules or not? Not a true switch, but you know when they take off for one mark and head to another -- one of the frequent discussions re: hunt test judging when people are confused on what a swtich is... Anyway, in SRS in my dream, that WAS illegal, so Newt was gone.
Thene Alli went flying off around the building ahead of me and I stopped and was calling her back and someone (a judge or whatever) was behind me saying "keep moving, keep moving, the test is gonna go no matter what". And Alli was up about 30 feet in front of me, the test started, I hollered sit, she sat like a rock and then broke on the go-bird.
It was SO funny (of course, I was really bummed out in my dream!!).
