Had to make that tough call today. Duke was the smartest dog and easiest to train I have ever had. He was the reason I got back in the dog games. A pleasure to hunt with, you never knew he was in the blind until the birds were down. Then he was all business. We'll miss you old buddy. Hope you are in a better place where there is no cancer and no pain and you can run and play again.

Is this right? He was 21? What a horrible loss after so many years together. It really does not matter how many years we have, they are not enough.
