Went back out today to the same site from yesterday, but the light was quite different. Yesterday I began at about 6:50 PM, it was fairly cloudy so light was soft and diffuse. Today I began almost an hour earlier and there were fewer clouds, providing brighter, somewhat harsher and more specular light. Shot 163 frames and have at least fifty or so that are within acceptable tolerances. I shot from F:2.8 to F:5.6 to see if there was any noticeable improvement in critical focus and actually see very little difference and in these images, only the first image is at F:5.6, all others were F:2.8. Shutter speeds ranged from 1/1250-1/8000. The improved light (along with some minor changes in camera technique) seems to have increased the acceptable focus percentage. Would be interested in hearing which postures ya'll find the most appealing.
